These terms cover SockMonkey.com: the travel guide, the map, the passport and the daily games. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
“We” means SockMonkey.com. “You” means anyone using the site.
Who can use it
SockMonkey.com, including the games, is for people 16 and over.
The games
- The games are free and just for fun. There are no prizes, and relics, stamps and streaks have no cash value.
- Your progress is saved in your own browser (see the privacy notice). If you clear your browser, switch devices or we change a game, it can be lost, and it can’t be restored.
- We may change, pause, reset or retire any game or puzzle at any time.
- Please play fair: don’t try to break, overload or interfere with the site.
The travel guide is a starting point, not a safety check
Conditions at places change quickly: weather, conflict, closures, disasters, permits, health risks and travel advisories.
- Before you travel, check your government’s current travel advice and the official sources for the place. Don’t rely on SockMonkey.com alone.
- The guide is general information, not professional travel, medical, legal or safety advice.
- We provide the site “as is”. We don’t promise that any fact is complete, current or error-free, or that any place is safe to visit.

Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or harm from using the site or relying on it, including trips, bookings or decisions you make. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can’t be limited.
Words, pictures and Tally
- Our text, the games, the maps and Tally the sock monkey (name, character and drawings) belong to SockMonkey.com.
- Photos belong to their photographers, or are in the public domain. The credit shown with a photo names its source and licence. That licence, not these terms, sets how you may reuse the photo.
- You’re welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back. For anything more, such as republishing pages or using our puzzles elsewhere, ask us first.
Other websites
We link to other sites, such as photo sources and official advisories. We don’t control them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
